How is the measurement calculated?
We use high-performance servers on Cloudflare’s edge network. The test sends and receives deterministic packets, measuring real latency and the maximum capacity of your internet link, with no interference from heavy advertising scripts.
Why doesn’t the browser test replace the iPhone app?
For security reasons, no web browser can access your device’s radio data (such as 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz, signal strength and router). In the Linka app you can walk around the house measuring room by room to find out whether the problem is your provider or the walls of your home.
